Standards
Child safety standards.
Pet Walk is an app for adults who walk their dogs together. Child sexual abuse and exploitation has no place in it, in any form, and this page says what that means in practice: what is prohibited, how to report it from inside the app, what happens next, and who answers for it.

Who the app is for
Pet Walk is made for people aged 18 and over. It is not designed for children and is not directed at them; the Google Play listing says the same. An account that we learn belongs to a minor is closed.
What is prohibited
Using Pet Walk for any of the following leads to the immediate and permanent closure of the account, and where the law requires it, a report to the authorities:
- Uploading, sharing, requesting or linking to child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind — photographs, video, drawings, text or descriptions
- Sexualising a minor in any way, including in a profile, a dog's description, a message or a photograph
- Contacting a minor, or attempting to, for a sexual purpose, including grooming, sextortion or arranging to meet
- Trafficking, or advertising or facilitating the sexual exploitation of a child
- Encouraging, normalising or providing instructions for any of the above
This applies to everything a person can put into the app: profile, photographs, dog descriptions, walks, direct messages and group chats. Something being "a joke", "private" or "between adults" is not a defence.
How to report it, without leaving the app
- Open the profile of the person or the dog concerned, or the conversation with them — the three-dot ⋮ menu at the top of each of them has Report or block. On Discover it is in the menu on the card itself.
- Choose Inappropriate content (or Something else) and write in the details that the report concerns a child. Those words are what puts it at the front of the queue.
- Send it. The person you reported is not told, and blocking them at the same time removes them from your app at once.
If you cannot use the app, or would rather write, email support@petwalkapp.net with the subject Child safety report. Anyone can report, whether or not they have an account.
What happens to a report
Every report is read by a person, and reports concerning children are read before anything else. When a report is confirmed:
- The content is removed from the app immediately, and the account that posted it is closed permanently — not suspended.
- The material is not shared further. It is preserved only as far as a report to the authorities requires, in a form nobody else can reach, and then deleted.
- Apparent CSAM is reported to the competent authority: in Türkiye, where the app is run, the BTK hotline for illegal content (ihbarweb.org.tr) and the police; and to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children's CyberTipline (report.cybertip.org), which accepts reports from anywhere in the world and passes them to the right country.
- Law enforcement requests are answered, and account data needed for an investigation is provided to a lawful request from the authority concerned.
A report that turns out to be mistaken costs the reporter nothing. A report made in bad faith to harass somebody is itself a reason to close an account.
Compliance with child safety laws
Pet Walk complies with the child protection laws that apply to it — in Türkiye, where it is operated, and in every country it is offered in — including the obligation to remove child sexual abuse material and to report it to the relevant national authorities. Where a law sets a stricter rule than this page, the law applies. Pet Walk also follows Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy.
Point of contact
Pet Walk is made and run by one person, Sergei Golovanov, who is the designated contact for child safety and answers directly: support@petwalkapp.net. That mailbox is the one to use for questions about these standards, about how a report was handled, or from an authority that needs to reach us.
Changes
This page is the current version of the standards. If they change, the date at the top changes with them, and the previous wording is available on request. What the app stores and who can see it is set out separately on the privacy policy.
